Charity Spotlight: Â鶹ӳ»Ó°Òô Store Manager Jesus Grills for a Good Cause
Meet Jesus G.
He’s a Â鶹ӳ»Ó°Òô AutoGlass store manager in Visalia. He recently led the Bakersfield market in a fundraiser for the local Habitat for Humanity supporting Tulare and Kings County in central California.
The team sold more than 100 tickets to a BBQ in the Habitat for Humanity Store parking lot. Â鶹ӳ»Ó°Òô provided all the food and drinks as well as cooking and serving the guests.
“Habitat for Humanity is important to me because it’s an opportunity for people to own a house no matter their financial circumstance,” Jesus shared.
Between ticket sales and a Â鶹ӳ»Ó°Òô-funded match, they raised $1,000. And, with the additional foot traffic, the store more than doubled their average sales for the day.
“It’s a great feeling to be able to help others, seeing the smiles of other people, knowing you are making a difference,” added Jesus. “It also makes me grateful for what I have. I think everyone should volunteer to help others because you never know when you are going to need help and maybe a stranger would help you out!”
